Led by breast surgeons Sue and Peter Jones, the Maidstone Breast Team want to work with you and help you with the many ways that breast cancer can be accurately diagnosed and treated.

Together with an outstanding team of breast specialists in radiology, oncology and cellular pathology we will always establish a rapid and detailed diagnosis before any surgery is performed.

Working together with you in either the NHS or Privately we discuss all patients in our multi-disciplinary meeting and then plan your treatment with your complete involvement at every step of the cancer journey. We believe optimal care can only be achieved in the private sector by teams also working together in the NHS, as we do on a daily basis.

You will be given as much time as you need and we will answer as many questions as you like.
You will always have access to our superb breast care nurse specialists.

The Maidstone breast team have every state of the art specialist equiptment including digital mammography, ultrasound, MRI, a prone table and mammotone biopsy systems.

We offer a completely comprehensive range of surgical procedures. We passionately prefer breast conservation whenever possible and undertake all types of breast reconstruction when mastectomy has to be recommended. We are fully trained and have extensive experience in sentinel node biopsy.

Mid Kent Breast Cancer Appeal

Our Breast Clinic is supported by a local charity, "The Mid Kent Breast Cancer Research Appeal " (Registered Charity 1054459). The Mid Kent Breast Cancer Research Appeal is actively seeking voluntary fund raisers and donations, for more information click on logo.

The prone table complete with the Mammotone Breast Biopsy System was the first major purhase by this charity, with the help of generous contributions by Peggy Woods Kent Cancer and Leukaemia Equipment Fund and the Cobtree Trust.

It has also enabled us to buy digital mammography, additional scanners and probes, which all enhance the care we provide.
